Head Coach
|
Coach Neibauer has been a part of the Wildcat program for 16 years and led the JV team for eight seasons, and the 9th grade for 5, before becoming head coach in 2019-2020. In 2015-2016 Coach Neibauer was voted section assistant coach of the year.
"Neibs" works with point guards and had a big hand in developing All State/All Star and record setting point guard Anna Schmitt. Schmitt finished her career as the school's all time leading scorer in 2015. As a head coach, Neibs is 39-12 all-time, and helped lead Waconia Girls Basketball to its first ever State tournament in 2019-2020. Coach Neibauer played for Fertile-Beltrami in 2001, and his team made a trip to the State Tournament. He then played from 2002-2004 for Northland Community and Technical College. |

Coach Von Glan has brought immense heart, passion, knowledge, and dedication to our team throughout the years, and this is her second stint, with the first 5-year run ending in 2019. She's an Iowa State Champion, played at Northern Iowa, and has a classroom that's almost as awesome as Neibs' classroom (the painted ceiling tiles bring it into major contention).

B Coach - Jeff Bessire |
Coach Bessire is the head boys and girls tennis coach at WHS, and is starting that program from the ground up; his presence and coaching style have lead to a major jump in numbers in interest, almost tripling the players from year one to two, even through the pandemic. He's a quick study, and is the best physical educator this side of the Mississippi.

9th - Kaylee Damasin Coach D is in her 3rd year with the program, and is beloved by all. Her dedication, knowledge, experience, and relatability make her the perfect fit to guide her teams. She has dealt with gigantic squads through the Covid years, smaller ones, crazy bus rides, and long drives to support the team under all circumstances. She was integral in our State run in 19-20 and also coaches Soccer at WHS.
